Curse this day

Yiling just woke up when Thongthai, Weiyang, Bengfong and i were already at the bus 171 queue. I then spend little money for everyone to pass time at Timezone.

At the zoo, they applied for F&B service crew(receptionist for Joyce), and the two girls had to leave to gatecrash 4E3 BBQ. Leaving the guys to Bongo Burgers. And after waiting meaninglessly, the ass. manager came out just to say that he can only give two application forms, he never mentioned it in all my sms-s. I felt kinda guilty for wasting my friends' time. It's only 4.30pm when the guys left the Zoo by bus. I had to grab a I-magazine at the Cheers and read for 1 hour. Thereafter, i went to Bongo Burgers, the ass. manager came out and asked a guy(who has already worked for 3 months) younger than me to get me clothes. I had to iron the clothes as instructed, and after that, i had to re-iron because it was not properly done. Later, i couldn't find my hat, spending about 3 minutes searching up and down, finding it in my own bag in the end. Orz.

Working is okay, a damn tall malay was in-charged of the dining area, so am i. He's the dining-IC and is to watch me. People kept asking me to drink water. <_< There were other 3 dining crew members, and at half pass 9 they told me to sweep the floor until it's 10pm. But... The ground is full of leaves and sand, and almost no litter, what do i do with the broom and broomstick?? <_< After 4 hours of wiping tables, bringing in leftover food, and watching 3 times the same fire-breathing performance, i get to sit down and get the free meal. I took 'Jumbo Hot-dog Meal', and it's really JUMBO, after i finish 9/10 of the hot-dog, the potato wedges were thrown away almost untouched.

The ass. manager then sits down and talk to me, saying that i do not smile, and do not have the initiative to interact with 'guests'. What the hell, everytime i'm doing something, the IC is not there! I sweared that those ang-mohs did talk to me, asking things such as when the performances start or where's the damn toilet!! And the ass. manager then says to give me another CHANCE, on this coming Sunday. Argh. I'm gonna laugh my ass off for 4 hours!!

Other than not getting the job properly, the crew there was pretty friendly and approachable, that's why i did not grab the pay i deserved and left there for good.

With a bad mood, i was told that Thongthai, Weiyang, Bengfong and Daryl are at Ang Mo Kio KBOX, and i went. They sang from 7pm onwards, i reached at 11pm and we lasted to 2am. Totally cool. But... What could i say... I spent another S$23.70 before i got the damn job... Orz...

Christmas go away, please wait until i get my savings back... T_T

Went to Lavender with Thongthai to get his passport renewed(i was bored, and very straight). Never knew that the S$70 he brought was to buy a memory card and not for the passport renewal! His dad told him that it's free. ._.

I persuaded him to borrow someone's ATM card to get the passport done first, but we end up at City Hall MRT station and going back to Lavender again. ==

Then went to Serangoon to try to go to Mustafa Shopping Centre, at that point of time, i forgotten Weiyang told me that it's at Farrer Park/Road. So i went to ask a indian shop keeper. Only heard 147 bus in our conversasion. <_<

Couldn't find the bus stop, so the solution is to ask a grandma infront of us.
In brackets are in Chinese.
"(Do you know how to go to) Mustafa Shopping Centre?"
'Erm... Uh...'
"(You can speak in chinese)."
'Huh? You don't know English?'
"No, i know English!"
I felt really stupid at this time. Fancy telling a English-pro to speak in Chinese because she's old.

After the shopping, ask Weiyang and Bengfong out to Ang Mo Kio for pool.

Today gonna go to Night Safari for... JOA? The work trial, whatever their codename for that is.

Bongo Burgers!

Tried very hard to persuade the penniless Joyce Tan to tag along on the job-seeking mission. She insisted on staying home so that she won't spend another penny. =="

On the way to the MRT station, i received a call from an unknown number.
'Are you Dum Dum?'
"Erm, it's Dan Dan..."
'Oh, so you applied for the job through the internet?'
"Yep."
'I'm from Bongo Burgers and i like you arrange with you an interview.'
*What?! Bongo Burgers?*
"Okay, when will it be and where?"
'You can come down today at 4 to 5pm at the Singapore Night Safari.'
*What the f***?! Night Safari?!*
"Okay, i think i can make it, see you."

So that's how it went. Night Safari, never imagine that i will be working within such a place...

Went to Paragon with Liangyi, Kelvin, and Mindy. I brought them to Toy R Us because i wanted a yoyo. XD

Saw Mingquan and Erza(seperately) in some department store and Mingquan seemed to have the slackest job ever.

Had lunch at Pepper Lunch Express. It's totally edible and cool! You cook the pieces of meat on the hot plate and it taste pretty nice.

I had to leave them at 3.30pm because i don't know how long it will take for me to go to the Zoo.

I took MRT to Ang Mo Kio then take bus 138 as told. The bus ride is terrible, the bus driver goes 'step... step... brake', so the sound made is 'zzz... zzz... pok', and as the passenger, i goes 'forward... forward... jerk backwards'. Orz.

I kept a lookout as i didn't know that the Zoo is obvious to the eyes and i might miss its stop. I then walked timidly to... The Bongo Burgers(it's still as funny).

The man(asst. manager) who called me earlier is named Kevin and he interviewed me. There's also this malay woman, who said that she saw me before but i don't have a single impression. :X The manager, who posted the job offer, is friendly too.

I listed my working days as Tuesday to Saturday, from 4pm to 12pm. So, if you all going to have gatherings, karaokes, or any fun events, set them on these days alright? I can change the schedule one week in advance though. And i'm going for trial only next Tuesday, i think i'm getting another job for the afternoons. >D

Another great day

Went to Yishun MRT station to meet Kelvin and Liangyi after a sms by Ch to meet at Orchard Cineleisure. I even used Google Earth to check the location of it while i gobbled up my lunch(i'm not good in the town).

Found Joyce, Mindy and Ch at the arcade after wandering abit. I lost to Joyce the Kappa(nicknamed by Ch and i find it pretty fit and neat) in Daydona. Orz. Also played this, funny as always.

Went to a unknown sushi restaurant which Zhiyu is working in. I filled up the application form as a server, in case my near-Yishun restaurant never calls.

KTV @ KBOX!
就让这首歌-张震岳&MC Hotdog&侯佩岑
思念是一种病-张震岳
杀手-林俊杰
^My favourites.

Now, imagine Liangyi and Kelvin singing this!

Singing goes on and on until it's 7pm and... This is the best song for good friends.

^Sang it real hard and loud!! Spartaaa!! XD

And there's a bit of change of lyrics to fit the occasion!
记得找河童! 我的好朋友!

Liangyi refused to have dinner and Joyce went home for she is a good girl.
After dinner, we watched a movie, and i have no idea what is it about.
Fred Claus is not as bad as i thought! And it just reminds me of one thing... 人之初 性本善.

Mindy, Ch, and Kelvin walked me right to my house doorstep. ._.

Work for me? Or i'm gonna just carry on having fun! XD

4E2 Chalet 2007

19 Nov 2007
-Bought two packets of charcoal to Yoshinoya to meet the rest to have lunch, without charging my phone, and without bring binoculars.
-All of them bought over S$100 so i had to de-de-do-do(the sound buttons of the ATM makes).
-Met with even more people and leave stuff with Joyce's car.
-Fetched taxi in the rain in order to get rest of the stuff from Ch's house to chalet.
-Tio traffic jam for... 8 or more Singapore dollars, the uncle complained to us instead of the other way round.

-Went to the wrong place in Changi but got off because we don't wanna see the meter jumping anymore.
-Walked for nothing because the man at some resort reception gave us wrong direction, saw some spooky old buildings and some commando/army site.
-Hitchhiked a lorry, the Indian man is too kind!! :3
-Took a taxi(again) because we're left with no choice.
-Got to the chalet, welcomed with many clappings.
-Off to the pool because we need to be refreshed. =_=
-Played games using poker cards, even the old-school ice-breaking-wacky and Simon says.

-Liangyi got thrown outside of the chalet onto the road with upper body naked.

20 Nov 2007
-Went to check out the arcade and played pool.
-Got utterly nothing to do, so followed to rent bicycle.
-Cycled back and forth from shelter because the rain is playing a joke on us. =_=
-Cycled to beside the Changi Airport landing area, got drenched when we desperately try to get home.
-Liyi and Thongthai got lost... Heheh.
-Mr. Lim came in no.3 and girls screamed.
-BBQ
-Water bombing, with fruit punch, detergent, honey, grass, tissue paper.
-Neighbouring chalet has got people saying some prayers, and another chalt tried to 'join' us but they sucked.
-The bombing is between boys and girls, Liangyi got held as 'hostage' for 'idunnowtfreason' and Joyce in return.
-Harrith and others threw water from above but umbrella owned.
-Cleaned up the whole ground floor.
-Mahjong for me.
-Sleep for me.

21 Nov 2007
-Wake up with a chill because they adjusted the air-conditioner from 20c to 16c when i'm asleep.
-Sabreesh said that he changed position because i looked as if i was going to kiss him. >_>
-Home sweet home.

I've received reply from my application to a restaurant around Yishun @ S$5.40 per hour, hopefully i really gets the job and start bring money home. :3

EDIT: Suddenly recalled that i should really have brought my binoculars... The sky over at Changi is stunning.

EDIT: Please go to Mindy's flickr album for the photos!

Off for class chalet

Won't be at home or online from 19-21 Nov due to 4e2'07 class chalet. Just helped out by buying stuff today morning, i overslpt(again) and rushed out leaving my Macdonald's hotcakes to dry.

I've also updated graduation night photos at my friendster account.

It's STILL party time!! Then i need to look for a job seriously.

Casualty of War

Saw this picture on DeviantART while browsing for backgrounds for my desktop. It's really impressive, and the author's words made it even more so.

http://www.deviantart.com/print/2107802/

In the game of war there are only losers
Fighting for the right to loose less
People can decide to fight or not
But nature don't have that prerogative
Being dragged into war for survival

Wedding Dinner

Went for the wedding dinner of my father-side cousin. He's a police officer and so much older than me.

Met many people which i've forgetten and never knew the relantionship between me and them, therefore... I don't know how to greet them.

Spoke with some of the relatives which i've met before and they all said that i've grown so much. Heh.

Then the ceremony begins with photos of the couple when they were young... Blah blah.

Then there is this video of the things that happened earlier in the afternoon, that is, getting to the bride. I really pity my cousin as he had to borrow money from all his friends in order to 'open the door', then later, he was force to swear 'My money is your money, your money is your money.' and alot more. I laughed out loudly with the crowd.

I also had half a wine glass of red wine as they say it's free flow. But i got so red just by that little... I wish i had better tolerance... Orz.

Then i collect MSN and emails from the 'younger generation' to keep contact and know each other better. I see the need to widen my social circle now. =/

That's all folks, going to sop for class chalet in 6.5 hours time. Laters~

Beowulf

I rushed out right after changing my Mage in Yggdrasil Online to Wizard.

Me, Bengfong, Weiyang, Yokehong, Daryl, Thongthai, and Menghui then went to watch beowulf. I don't have a single idea of what this movie holds but since Daryl recommand it...

It's Computer Graphic(in other words, not acted by humans), but it is very well done, almost human. The action scenes are good, i love it when a character swings around the monster with a string/rope/chain and stab it when he finally land on it, which is a common scene in God of War I and II(a PS2 game).

I will consider it a little inspiring, sexy, and funny. It's the first NC16 we watched as a group i think.

There after was MRT trip, steam boat, LAN gaming and home. Had fun today, but i hate it when i get motion sickness over playing Counter Strike... Flew on the plane and rid on the vehicles too much... *Blurp*

Graduation Night

I'm currently at Ch's house.

The performance in the school hall was okay, i didn't expect dancing but woah, it's another experience. i only went in the crowd after half of the dance though. I also taken quite some photos with people i know, gotta leave a something for them to remember huh? XD

Went onto the stage for the game with Liangyi and Kelvin, but i'm the only one who couldn't play the game well. >_>

But well, you can't get laughed or joked at by your schoolmates anymore after tonight, so... Hell yeah!

Alright, next time then, i shall upload the photo if possible. ;)

Hellla fun!

Yoshinoya

I couldn't sleep for the whole time. So... I laid on the bed and thought about whether if i should take on the job at Yoshinoya in Northpoint. I'd been cashier at Bugis Yoshinoya during the holidays in secondary two. It was fun and hell at the same time...

The first 3 days when i first went in was pretty much a time of learning, it's about looking and doing, i was very nervous when i served my customer, it didn't go wrong though. And when i went to the Yoshinoya at Northpoint a few days ago, a green one is there, and... It was pretty funny how a new guy learn and treats the customer, which looked quite... Bored(?) as she waited for her order to get done.

After the 3 days, i got a break, that is because i stated on the application form that i will not work on Fridays, using NCC(Sea) training as an excuse, but in actual fact, i'm playing Ragnarok Online at home. :P

When i did my first opening, that is, opening the store and getting everything ready. I forgot to refill the ginger, spice, and soya sauce. I only found out when the customer complained to my manager. =="

And closing, which is cleaning up everything and putting them back to place... I took longer time than the others to clean up, because i am so not satisfied with the stain left on the soya bean tank.

Each new crew is sent for training, it just teaches you the basic and the rules to follow as a cashier/kitchen crew/lobby crew. I got to know the other members of Yoshinoya. Unluckily, one of my previous manager left without me knowing the reason, and people in the workshop were talking about the reasons and such. I joined in, only to get questioned by my fierce-est manager in the manager room. This girl, whom i'm not farmiliar with, sabotaged me. It was then that i found out the cruelty of the working society. Anyone can backstab you anytime, even if you treat time with sincerity.

But, there are good memories too! Such as the crew members i met there was absolutely friendly, although the aunties disliked me at the beginning because i went for lunch without 'slotting my card into the clock', in other words i earned money while having lunch.
-There is this girl, name... Gladys, who studied in Ahmad Ibrahim Secondary School the year before, that is, when i was sec 1 she's sec 4. She was not active and so i did not recognize her at all.
-The chief manager totally screwed me up everytime. She's so fierce that i panicked at the sight of her, resulting in bad performance, leading to scoldings. And there is one time when she asked me to stay back for re-training... I went home though.
-The oldest manager, she was understanding and kind everytime, i think all older woman does. XD
-The new manager that replaced the trouble-causing-which-smokes-manager, he mocked my name, and we had a lot of fun. Especially during the dinner rush hour, tried our best to get to the 'everyday-targeted-to-be-earned-amount'.
-Not forgetting the Malay kitchen crew, he was damn nice and polite. We had fun pushing him to the counter and made him act like a cashier, totally hilarious. And the two other older guy, which guided me a lot when i first started.

^ God, these are a lot of boring stuff. I just checked out Singapore Yoshinoya site. It is damn nicely designed. Visit it if you're free. http://yoshinoya.com.sg/

I think going back there to work isn't that bad... After all i work best in an farmiliar environment... But i could use abit more pay... S$3.50 is way off the standard. :P

Animes

I'm gonna just introduce some animes that i feel that are good, but maybe it's just personally preferences so don't expect too much.

  • Darker than BLACK

In Tokyo, an impenetrable field known as "Hell's Gate" appeared ten years ago. At the same time, psychics who wield paranormal powers at the cost of their conscience also emerged. Hei is one of the most powerful of these psychic agents, and along with his blind associate, Yin, works for one of the many rival agencies vying to unlock the mysteries of Hell's Gate.

The plot is new interesting, but many episodes were spent on depicting how this "Hell's Gate" affect the lives of normal people and the main plot was left out. It ended off pretty rough too. However, i liked this anime alot. Love the opening song too.

More of power and coolness, for the men.

  • Shakugan no Shana

Sakai Yuuji, a high school student who expected his normal life to last forever, is dead. When he was on his way home he witnessed a shocking view as the world suddenly froze: people were engulfed by blue flames and a monster resembling a large doll swallowed them. Just as the monster prepared to consume Yuuji, a sword-wielding girl in black attire with flaming red eyes and hair that burns like embers saved him from the monster.

Nice plot, too. And there's much romance in this than DtB. It also has 'school lives', so it was quite fun watching it. You will find doll-ly looking figures in it, which i quite disliked, but luckily they are all bad, and got slained. :P

Suitable for all sex.

  • Hunter X Hunter

Gon Freecs, a young boy that lives on a small island learns that his father who he doesn't remember is an extremely famous man and has become somewhat of an amazing hunter. Gon takes the hunter exam to seek out his amazing father, but on the way while teaming up with 3 other candidates, Kurapica, Leorio, and Killua, he learns that there is more to becoming a hunter and the challenges that he must face will be beyond his imaginations.

Similiar to DtB in the sense that characters have their own unique abilities, and this 'method' of making an manga/anime never quite die, kinda because everyone of us wish to have those abilities too... Anyway, this anime is still on going.

Most likely for men.
  • Utawarerumono

Hakuoro has lost his memory after succumbing to serious injuries; but thanks to a elderly woman and her granddaughter Eruruu, he is nursed back to health. His face is covered by a strange irremovable mask and he occasionally sees beastly visions.

A anime that's not as good. But i've watched it to the end and might as well share. The main character just gets more companions and have wars until the last episode. Ta da. The only thing i like is the ecchi-ness. :P:P

Moar for female. But recommanded for male with ecchi-fetish.

Heh, will have more things to share. Though i know that not much people visits me blog, but HELL YEAH, as long as i know that i'm sharing and i'm happy!!

It's the end of Olevaaa!!

Secondary schoo life is pretty much over and i'm really getting excited to towards polytechnic life. :P

Everyone tried to overgrow their hair, dye them, poke holes around the body, and wear no panties. But i'm not going to do that. :D

I did a list of things to do. Feel that it will help me to keep myself on track. Research shows that successful people had goals, whereas 'success-ing' people don't. ;)

Biology Paper was a mess. And i want to get over paper 1s as quick as possible.

Next time~.

P/S: I'm so gonna get Nokia 5310 XpressMusic.

Free Rice

Free Rice . Com

http://freerice.com/index.php

It's about improving your vocabulary while giving rice to people that are living in poverty.

Yes, you might have learnt that giving rice rather than jobs is useless, but you're giving help this way.

For, what else can we do to help? ;)

Nothing until we're grown ups.
