Bongo Burger Christmas Celebration

As i read Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire up to 5am before i slept on 30th. I woke up almost late for the celebration at 1130. I was deciding whether to take the usual route which takes around 45 minutes or a taxi. I took a taxi in the end, recalling that i shouldn't save up these small amount of money if i were to be late and give a bad impression.

The presents and gifts everyone contributed. Mine was just a common box of chocolate. Almost bought a set of tissue boxes worth S$5 while browsing through cold storage. XD


We played some interactive games(musical chair, quizzes) and they're great with great workmates! I had so much laugh at them.

This is... Erm. Hanging whatever they want us to hand on a string, i took off my white shirt for this(leaving my upper body bare).


I end up getting the two bears in the middle as the exchanged gift(not bad at all i thought, rather cute, gonna thank the person who bought it), the Santa is a lucky drew prize... And the chocolates, is for being at the third place as a group.


Worked until 12am when i did not have enough sleep is a torture. My 'face muscles' will strain itself without control while i'm wearing my spectacles. I was working as a kitchen crew supposingly, but the party ended later that i didn't have a chance to 'train'. So, i got transfer to being a runner(delivers food)...

Hopefully i'll get to meet up with the guys tomorrow night for a countdown to 2008 with fireworks. Cheers!

Since i'm only back from work at 12am and it takes quite a while for the company van to get me home(there's others to send home too). So, i always tune into Mutton at Midnight on 98.7FM. They're really funny, and i just called in last night to complain about the delivery from Canada(they aired only half of it... Maybe it's my stumbling of words. Or is just that they don't have enough time for me. XD).

Anyway, tonight, they aired some jokes sent in by people. There's also a call-in session.

There's this christen guy, who has everything that is christen, and he wants to buy a christen horse to ride.
So he went to a horse dealer and bought this white christen house.
The dealer told him that if he wants to increase the speed of the horse, say 'Praise the Lord', and if he wants it to stop, say 'Amen'.
So the guy rode the horse up a mountain saying 'Praise the Lord' multiple times and the horse is already galloping like mad already lah.
When the horse is going to reach a cliff, the guy forgot how to stop and shouted 'Amen'! The horse stop.
The guy then took a hanky and wiped off his sweat, 'Whew, praise the Lord'.
So the guy and the horse went down the cliff.
...
So is this the end of the joke?

Xmas countdown at Orchard

Went to Orchard to have a countdown to Christmas Day with Zhijun w/ brother & sister, Yongquan, and Fiona Lim. The crowd outside the MRT station is HORRIBLE. Move slower than a snail.

We had to climb up on this platform to move faster.



Walk along the road, trying to get some foam spray(as we didn't bring any), because people are having fun all around with those.

I bought 1 at S$2.20 in a 7-eleven, and there's probably the last one. End up somewhere and there's 'illegal' vendors selling them at 3 for S$10. Man. I bought another one at S$2. ... Forget about how the sprays come about. So, i found ourselves a stronghold and spray at innocents when the alley is full,









At the other side of the road(to the left of the photos above), there are Zhijun's relative, so it's kinad like our resting place...

I was taking pictures 'behind the scene' most of the time, so... I'm quite clean and tidy. Then the 3 cadet police chased me. I ran along a road, into a outdoor cafe, and back. But! When i tried to go under a curtain-like-cover-with-a-weight. I knocked on to it... And got sprayed, of course...

Back at the gathering place, a group of starbucks crew came with spray-like things on their hands. I remembered someone asked, 'What are those?'. They replied, 'Oh, whipped cream, want some?' And they sprayed! The spray is good! Cause the cream flew twice the height our lousy spray does! I didn't get creamed, simply because i ran to the side when the first shot is seen. There's a group of teens at the side, saying, 'Are those beers?'. I answered, 'Nope, those are whipped cream, you know, the stuff like ice cream.'

First try on making Japan #2!

Okay, so there's this bread making anime which is kinda nice to watch. The main character of the anime tries to create a Ja-Pan(Pan=Bread) for the country Japan, for he saw that there's English bread, French bread, but no Japan bread!

In one of the episodes, he taught the viewers how to make a simple and easy bread, using a rice cooker. I thought it will be so fun, so i tried it out hours earlier.

First of all, i did not have a weighing instrument, so estimation is all i could do. The problem came when i tried to add in the yeast. Which is to be dissolved in water, and i poured an excess amount of water into the mixture as the yeast doesn't want to dissolve well.

Ending up with a watery mixture. I knead it for a very long time and it is obvious that i need much more bread flour to form the dough. I think i took at least 45 minutes in doing so...

Finally, the flour was enough to hold all of the mixture together! By then, the proportion of the ingredients were totally off.

No choice, but had to bake it anyway, i forgive myself for it's the first time. :P

Zhijun wanted to taste it first hand, so at 0030, she came over to my window.


From the picture, the other side was less baked. Anyway, i sliced off a piece of the bread and gave it to Zhijun, she wanted to let Fiona(NPCC) taste it...

I can say that the bread is... Just pass. Plain plain plain. Too much flour because of my mistake. Aw well. Just gonna try harder next time.

Worst day of the job

Woke up late, took taxi there, but still late. =_=

Got tested for closing as a dining crew, expect a newcomer to clean up everything including tiny litters on the ground within 15 minutes. Of course i failed, and very badly indeed. Also, a guy was sent to supervise and guide me, but that didn't help, and in fact slowed me down(as i asked a lot of questions to clear my doubts instead of just carrying on with things). Now i own this 'senior' 6 scoops of ice cream from ben and jerry's. That's 3 hours of work to cover up. =_= A total bully and rip off. T_T

This particular cactus has a extraordinary long protruding flower!! I squatted at this spot for like 5 minutes just to get a good shot of it, but apparently i am able to focus the camera well... So, a sloppy job, but i hope the distance is still clearly shown(between the flower and the plant).

My phone fell onto the ground after a game of mini-snooker, it was 'dislocated' and all the buttons opened up the video mode and i can't access any other things except to turn it off.

In desperation, i bounced me phone on the bed several times and it worked... And it didn't... Bounced... Worked. Frustrating. Very. Gonna send it for holiday. =_=

At Genting Highlands, First World Plaza. I was quite amazed by this thingy, then guessed that the tap is supported by a tube that is hidden in the flowing water, which also pumps water up at a fast rate.

KLCC. I think i first saw a LV shop over there. I spent 45minutes just browsing through books at Kinokuniya. Even bought Harry Potter and the Half-blooded Prince, i know it's weird but that's how the cookie crumbles. :P


Twin Tower, i ran to the garden in front so as to take a shot, and ran back as i was already late. =_=


Back in Singapore, took taxi to Ang Mo Kio to join Daryl, Weiyang, Bengfong, Thongthai, and *drum roll* Yokehong for karaoke session. Bengfong sang the same song with different partners for four times if i'm not wrong, if not five! I'm already having cough, sore throat, and sang the two days before, but it was fun nevertheless.

Will be working a lot from today onwards. See ya!

First day of work.

Woke up at 3pm. Totally emotional and not ready for work. Reached Bongo Burgers at 5.35pm, assist. manager say i suppose to work at 5pm as on the schedule, i told her that the other assist. manager told me it's at 5.30. I'm not sure of everything at that point of time anyway. Then i realized, it's time for work, put up a faint smile and work lor! Struck up conversations with crews, laughed, changed mood. :)

Seeing everyone wearing Santa hat, and i'm still wearing this Africa safari hat, i decided to ask JJ(assist. manag.) for one, and TA DA!


At night, i found a bunch of beautiful bunch of blossom flowers on the dining table(with trash of course), so i brought it back to the manager room. All the female crew got so happy, and they went into the manager room and start taking photo of themselves with the flower. =="

Too bad two ladies came back and retrieve them. LOL.

Banquet Day(just one)

Afternoon went to Causeway Delifrance to visit Joyce, but we're all late and she went home after we sat down. =_=

Earned S$33 by just refilling drinks, getting drinks, and emptying drinks! Foooyo! Now i can repay Ronald and Daryl, and there's still change! Weee!

The only thing i don't like about today is that i have to use styling foam, gel, wax, and gel again to make my hair look like ShangHaiTanBoy. Luckily only got Thongthai and Ch there... Totally unpresentable. X_x

Thanks to Ch for the job offer.

We chatted at S11 after work at 11.30pm... And... I haven't wash all the slime off my hair(i found a lump in my ear, yuck!). It's 5.39am now!

2E2'07 Chalet

Cycle cycle, yada yada...





Daryl needs a bike when he comes at 10pm, so bubby to the rescue! Simying and i cycled to the bike shop on two-seater while i cycle alone back on two-seater.

The first night at the jetty is great! Clear skies! Orion, Taurus, and the freaking bright star Sirius lighted up the sky! While we're relaxing and enjoying the breeze as i use my binoculars, Weiyang said that he saw a MOVING star, and true enough, the arm of Orion did 'vibrate' in it's position, but i can say that it is either due to the nature of the light emitted or our atmosphere. Daryl and Weiyang gave those MOVING stars names like, Tom, Dick, Harry, and Alicia. :D

I saw a moving star, just a white stroke beside Orion within a second, it better not be my eyes playing tricks on me, though i did not bother to make a wish. :P

Second night's sky is filled with neat clouds. We went there to have a early celebration of Ronald's birthday. Poor Rony got cheese cake on his face! Totally fun!! Although the uncles fishing(i won't call them fishermen) got angry as we're SCARING the fishes away. Also, some are unhappy because it's the last clean shirt they're having(i didn't have a single stain :P).

We did meat-stacking on the bed... It is very suffocating. T_T Check the video from Liyi.

We played bluff/cheat... Bengfong lost and he has to drink 1.5litres of H2O!! We're kind and took away a fraction.

But he lost AGAIN! And he haven't finish the last cup of H2O from the previous game! Hahah!


I slept... Woke up to find Ronald's jacket stained with white solid... Grrr! Toothpaste! I am so damn glad... But when i went of the bed, i found a LUMP of white solid on my shorts... =_=. Great, Ronald had it because his jacket contacted my shorts. Geez. =_=.

2nd On-Job-Assignment

As said, i did not pass my first OJA because i never smile, and today i will go at 6pm for the second.

Woke up at 10am, went down to the marketplace along with my parents and brought four you tiao-s as breakfast. :D

At 1.45pm, i was all ready to meet Ch at Khatib MRT station, to go and kacau(disturb) Liangyi and Kelvin at work. :P

But in the end, he did not reply my sms-s, and i cannot contact him through the phone, so i stayed home and watched 'Naked Science' at National Geographic Channel, about the Big Bang.

At 4, went to Yoshinoya to get myself a lunner(lunch/dinner), beef bowl!! Saw Shuncong and Vivick selling contact lens, earning S$6/hr!! They came to sit down beside me. =_= What a job.

The bus trip to Night Safari took me more than 45 minutes and i am LATE! Ironed in a few seconds and went to see the manager, and he says 'I going to cancel your name already leh, you late never tell me.' =_=

After 10pm, as i ordered 6pcs of nuggets as supper, i sat down beside this guy with gold-coloured hair, he faced away from me all the time. I broke the silence, and he said, 'Hahah! I knew it! If i face this way an don't talk to you, you will talk to me! Yes, my theory is correct!'
*Uhh... Okay... <_<*

Tomorrow going 2E2'07 chalet, organized by Bengfong, i asked if Thongthai wants to go as we the guys can pull in him because Joyce Tan is going too, he replied, 'You all decide le then tell me.' =_=

Still waiting for Neopets team to tell me my birthdate that i entered. =_=
